How to Get Rid of House paint smell and Odors

The job of a house painter is not easy. Add a splash of vanilla extract to the paint. If using odorless paint is not an option, you can simply add a splash of vanilla to your paint mixture to every gallon of paint you have and this move will lower down the scent a whole lot. Odorless paint is expensive and they are very limited in terms of usage, and using vanilla extract is going to be a good solution to reduce the paint smell.

Use onions. The problem with paint fumes is that it gets absorbed by everything else, like your sheets, curtains and wallpaper. If you made a wrong calculation about the use of paint and you are now dealing with paint fumes being absorbed by everything you have at home, you can direct all the fumes to bowl of onion. Cut up some onions and place them in different bowls or containers with cold water then place them all over the house. The onions will absorb the stench and if you are lucky, they will do the work overnight.

Use odorless paint. The most proactive way to deal with paint odors is to use odorless paint. Nowadays, there is an option to choose low odor or odorless paint that will make this problem a non-issue. As long as the paint job you are carryout can be done with this type of paint, you can choose odorless paint and worry not of any awful smells.

Fight smells with vinegar. Overnight, set a bowl of distilled white vinegar in the room. In the morning, the air will be fresher. You can also use this to deodorize your clothes without the need for washing. Put some distilled white vinegar in a bath with some hot water and hang your clothes above it. The odors should be gone.Pour 2 1/2 cups of vinegar into the toilet bowl. Leave for 30 minutes, then simply flush. The toilet will be fresh again.2When cooking highly aromatic food, place a medium sized bowl of vinegar with high walls next to the stove. This will help to absorb the odor and prevent it from wafting through the rest of the house.
